William Apex Bibbs, born January 24, 1971 in South Bend, Indiana moved to Atlanta, Georgia at the age of 12. He attended Avondale High School, Southwest DeKalb High School and accomplished some college at DMACC urban campus in Des Moines Iowa.

William Apex Bibbs is a member of the late group ll Close from the 90’s New Jack Swing Era.

They were signed to Tabu Records in 1991 and as of today, have sold over 500,000 copies worldwide. They received a Music Award for Best Rap, best new rap and R&B group in 1993 and performed with TLC, Boys to Men, Jodeci, MC Hammer, Brian McKnight and many more. ll Close fans and music collectors have collected their vinyl records as well as their CDs today. Although unfortunately their career was short lived, ll Close has revived the sound with spot dates to empower and lift inspire aspiring artists and singers today.

Apex has a passion for working with the youth as well as with charities such as “From Boys to Men” which is a non­profit organization for boys without a father and the “Boys & Girls” club.

His work also includes Toys for Tots, working with Martin Luther King Jr the third and knows people connected to the Atlanta Food Bank. He also supported through sponsors by Apex athletic wear and the starter and Nike in the nineties.

Apex went on to pursue his dream in entertainment and combined it with his passion for working with the youth. He is now using his talents as an artist developer and manages a rock group, The Waves, based out of Atlanta, Georgia. His vision is to uplift and to empower through his book and documentary about 90’s music and his firsthand account of New Jack Swing. He would like to use this tool to bring teams and people together on a common cause.

Apex is a poet, singer, producer, songwriter and public speaker. He brings together all these qualities to educate people, young and old, from all walks of life. He loves different genres of music and is a firm believer in the law of attraction. So good things happen to good people as well as bad things but was a firm believer that so if so as a man thinketh so is he. A special thank you goes to Clarence Avant and Avant­Guard music who executive­produced all of Texas songs that he wrote. He has the opportunity to reach a worldwide fan base today.
